Wado Ryu Sweden
was started in 2002. WRS is an organisation of clubs in Sweden connected
to Wado Ryu Karate-Do Academy in Great Britain, headed by sensei M.
Shiomitsu 9th Dan Hanshi.
The Wado-Ryu Karate-Do Academy is open to all practitioners of Wado-Ryu
Karate who wish to follow the true teachings of the founder of Wado-Ryu
Karate-Do, Grandmaster Hironori Ohtsuka I. The Wado Academy is headed
by his son, Grandmaster Hironori Ohtsuka II and the chief instructor
is M. Shiomitsu 9th Dan Hanshi. Since it’s conception in 1989 the Academy
has grown into a huge organization with affiliated clubs worldwide.
Shiomitsu Sensei travels regularly to each club to conduct courses,
gradings and most importantly maintain a uniform standard. Take a look

WRS also have a close
collaboration with Wado Ryu Norway, headed by sensei Öistein Riber,
5th Dan. WRN have over 1000 members.
